After the Litany is concluded, the Exorcist, standing, says the following prayer:

O God, whose nature is always to forgive and to show mercy, receive our prayer for this your servant N., who is bound in chains by the power of the devil: may your faithful love and compassion mercifully grant him (her) release through Christ our Lord.
