Exorcist Diary #403: A Satanist's Torment

In my previous post: “Why is hell so horrible?” I wrote:
“For those who have definitively rejected God and have chosen the darkness even the slightest grace or ray of Divine light is an incredible suffering.”
A person resonated with this social media content and publicly shared his story:
“I was a fervent satanist and I somehow felt what I think Satan feels in the presence of love (on a lower level but it was still awful). At the sight of holy images, people praying, newborns, compassion, or anything good, I felt a strong sense of nausea and a visceral pain, I felt like I was about to throw up and collapse. Satan also had so much control on my brain that I couldn't feel empathy anymore nor contempt for evil. God saved me from that trap and made me aware of every single trick, now I try my best not to sin, I pray as much as I can and praise Him every day. I repent for EVERYTHING I have ever done because my sins are horrible and I know that if I died some time ago I would certainly have deserved damnation. Please give up on sin everyone, I want to see you all in heaven. May God who is all mighty and just and perfect bless us all!”
This experience brings home the critical need for all of us to “ingest” good and holy things, and to eschew evil. If we partake of evil, our intellect becomes darkened, our spirit blackened, and ultimately we cannot tolerate the things of God; we could not stand being in heaven. On the contrary, the more we ingest the things of heaven, the holier we become, and the more ready for heaven. We love God and yearn for his divine life, and, by the grace of God in Jesus, we will find it.
