Response: Most exorcists do not believe that Satan can read our thoughts. Only God can do so. And only God knows the future.

However, Satan is intellectually brilliant (although ignorant in the ways of grace and devoid of wisdom) and is long aware of the emotions and thinking of human beings. Thus, he can pretty much surmise what we are thinking. And he can often predict future events, with his knowledge of the present. Moreover, he can tempt us and put ideas into our minds, but we can successfully reject them with God's help.

The reason such ideas are important is that we should not give too much power to Satan or be in fear of him. Jesus is Lord, not Satan. Satan is not God although he would like to put himself on a par with God. But he is only a fallen angel and God has chained him. He can only do what God allows and this is restricted. So be at peace and trust God. You can direct your thoughts to God in prayer and God hears you, for sure!
