I’m praying for the deliverance of my daughter. If I pray for her, does it work?
Authority Over Children

We regularly receive questions which ask if certain prayers “work” or “don’t work.” Recently I heard a good expression: “The only prayer that God doesn’t hear is the one you don’t say.” God hears ALL prayers. He especially hears the cry of a mother for a daughter who is suffering. Yes, your prayers will “work.” God will hear your prayer. However, it does not mean God will give you the result you want. In his infinite mercy and providence, we trust the God will respond to your prayer and give you, and your daughter, the graces that you both need and thus the ones He wants you to have. We know that God especially gives us the strength to overcome any temptations and sufferings. This life is a “vale of tears” which no one can escape. Most important, we commend all of our difficulties and sufferings (and your children!) to Jesus, and his Blessed Mother. We trust that they will guide and protect us all. The key is to trust in Jesus and his loving Father.
